Below is a video of a little girl being bullied at a bus stop by two other girls who are portrayed as bullies. It’s a social experiment, and one that sheds light on something all people of all ages partake in.

The experiment was organized and put on by UPtv to shed light on the fact that at least 1 in 3 kids will be bullied during school. Uptv set out to ask the question, “who will stop the bullying?”

The video was filmed in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is part of UPtv’s Stand Up Against Bullying campaign.

The organizers of the campaign also shared some tips to help prevent bullying, like talking with your child, supporting and empowering your child, learning your rights, thinking through who else should be involved along with community involvement.

The lasting effects of bullying aren’t the result of being weak or unable to move beyond the names we are called, but can rather be attributed to the fact that often we don’t have the tools or the know-how to pick ourselves up after we have fallen.

We live in a world where learning to navigate your emotions and how you feel is not important. We live in a world where being depressed and taking medication for it is more common than people being happy. In the article posted below, there is a powerful message regarding bullying that we shared earlier in the year:

The Most Beautiful Way To Stop A Bully I’ve Ever Seen

The main message to take away from this video is that you have the power to do something. If you see some sort of ‘injustice’ take place, do something about it. At the core of our being, all of us want to stand up and help others, but sometimes we lack the courage to do it. Don’t be afraid, help somebody because you might be the only one who ever does. There is a reason why we feel great when we help another person out, service to others truly nourishes all parts of our being.
