Barr finally got her break in 1985 at the age of 33 years old when she appeared on “The Tonight Show” and again on “Late Night with David Letterman” the following year. With a long list of awards praising her talent as a comedian, actress, writer, producer and director, Barr’s early life actually took an unexpected turn. At only 17 years old, Barr had already left her hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah for the mountains of Colorado where she gave birth to a daughter. Knowing she wasn’t ready to be a parent, Barr gave her daughter up for adoption, only to be reunited with Brandi 17 years later. With a public life filled with controversy and comedy, we hope Brandi is a little tamer than her outspoken and outlandish mom.

His wife, Natalie Bryant, was actually five months pregnant with their first child when they got married. The couple has since had four more children – Penelope Anne, River Samuel, Viggo Moriah and Wilhelmina Jane – all before the age of 30.

The tragedy did not stop there, since after a year Anna also died on overdose!

Married to John Agar in 1945 at just 17 years old, Temple became a teenage mother at 19 when she gave birth to her daughter, Linda Susan. With an entire Hollywood career behind her, the young icon focused on building her family and had two more children over the next six years. More than just a silver screen star, Temple continued to prove her interests were broad as she ventured into politics and even became an ambassador, both of which she pursued well into her adult life until her death in February 2014.

Hailing from Kentucky, the 15 year old Lynn married Oliver “Doolittle” in 1948 and says that life with him inspired much of her music as the couple worked to build a family and future together filled with children and music.

Juggling marriage and a new life, Lynn welcomed her first child, Betty Sue, at just 16 years old. A year later, the couple welcomed their second child, Jack Lynn. By the age of 20, Lynn was already a mother of three and spent her time raising babies and learning guitar. With encouragement from Doolittle and a busy household with a total of six children, Lynn eventually started her own band, launching a music career that would span nearly six decades.

From a fry cook and prostitute to a nightclub dancer, journalist and world renowned poet and author, the beloved Maya Angelou led an incredible life filled with joy and hardship. After her parents divorced, Angelou went to live with her mother in St. Louis where, at eight years old, she was sexually abused by her mother’s boyfriend. The offender was apprehended, jailed and later released only to be murdered four days afterward, supposedly by Angelou’s uncles.

With such a tragic childhood, Angelou remained silent for five years, which led her to write poetry. Finding her voice through words, Angelou gained confidence and learned to trust again. By the age of 17 in 1945, the young poet gave birth to her only son, Guy Johnson, who forever changed her world. Yet, despite her seven autobiographies including I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, Angelou has kept much of her personal life private, leaving this incredible writer’s life a modern mystery.
