Sea salt, lemon and water

Mix 1 tbsp of salt and ½ tsp of lemon juice with 1 tsp of water.

Apply this mixture on to your face (where you have blackheads).

Gently massage for 2-4 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.

After a while wash your face with cold water to close all the open pores.

Do the process twice a week.

Lemon and sea salt mixture are acidic and anti bacterial properties. It helps make your skin brighter and fights off germs that may clog the pores.


Tomato has antiseptic properties and is effective in de-clogging your pores and removing blackheads.

Mash the tomatoes and use the juice and peel as a facial treatment. Let it dry as it will make the blackheads dry up and fall off naturally from the surface of the skin.

Egg and honey

Mix the whites of a raw egg with 1 tsp of honey to make a paste.

Apply this paste on your face and leave it on for 30 minutes or until the skin feels tight.

Wash it off with warm water.

This is an effective way to remove blackheads from your face and make your skin glow.

Baking soda

Make a paste by adding a few drops of water to baking soda. Massage it gently on to the areas with blackheads. Be careful not to harm the skin. Rinse with warm water afterwards.

You can also use the following remedies to get rid of blackheads –

Olive oil and lemon extract mixture

Apple cider

Green tea leaves and water mixture

Oatmeal and yogurt mixture

Application of toothpaste

Cinnamon powder and lemon juice mixture

Try not to touch your face too often.

Keep your skin clean and fresh

If you have oily skin, use blotting paper to remove excess oil

Change your bed sheets and pillow cases regularly to prevent future breakouts
